Message
from Gerardo and his four comrades
On
December 20 and 21, Alicia Jrapko and Bill Hackwell,
members of the National Committee to Free the Five
in the United States, visited Gerardo Hernández at
the U.S. penitentiary in Lompoc, California. Gerardo
sent with them the following message to everyone in
solidarity with the just cause of the five Cuban
comrades
"On
behalf of myself and the other four comrades
imprisoned in the United States, we would like to
express our profound and heartfelt thanks to all the
people who have sent us solidarity messages and
fraternal greetings during this holiday season. The
large volume of mail has made it impossible for us
to respond to each message. We would like, however,
to take this opportunity to send a collective
message to all of you, in all parts of the world
with our best wishes for you and your families
during this festive season. We promise that we will
try to respond to every card and letter as soon as
possible.

Days of Gerardo Hernandez in the United States Federal Prison at

FOR millions of
Cubans, the living conditions of the Five Cuban Political
Prisoners being held in U.S. prisons is one of their greatest
preoccupations.

"We are five
loyal Cubans, who for 33 months and five days have endured a
severe imprisonment in the jails of a nation where hostility
against our own is obvious with its authorities.
